This is an introduction to the ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal by ADDAC System, available at Takazudo Modular.
The ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal is an external pedal-type gate controller with three independent foot switches. Each switch outputs a stable +2.5V gate signal, serving as an intuitive interface for modular systems. Powered by a 9V battery for portability, it is suited for live performance and real-time control applications.

Features of the ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal
The ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal is the three-output version of the ADDAC312 Gate Pedal. For full details, please first refer to the ADDAC312 product description. This device has three independent foot switches, each of which outputs a +2.5V gate signal from its corresponding rear jack when pressed, returning to 0V when released — a simple structure.
The ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal features a standalone design powered by a 9V battery, so it can be used without depending on external power supplies or power modules. It adapts flexibly to stage setups and mobile configurations, connecting to modular cases or desktop equipment with a single cable. Power consumption is low, allowing extended use from a single 9V battery.
ADDAC System also develops and sells large modular synth cases and other products. When cutting wood for those, there are inevitably unusable portions. To make more efficient use of materials that would otherwise be discarded, they decided to use those leftover pieces to create wooden pedals. Weighing approximately 320g, the pedal is lightweight with a premium appearance — a design that makes you want to keep it close at hand.
About the Battery
The ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal is designed to run on a 9V battery (PP3 type), but no battery is included. Please purchase a battery separately and install it by opening the back cover.
The following is an example of a compatible 9V PP3 battery:
To install the battery, you’ll need to remove the screws on the bottom. Please refer to the photos below for installation.

Use Cases for the ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal
For usage methods for this device, the basics are the same as its single-output counterpart, the ADDAC312 Gate Pedal, which includes discussion of combining it with acoustic instruments. Please refer to that article first.
In ADDAC System’s vision, the ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal was designed with the ADDAC112 VC Looper & Granular Processor in mind.
I (Takazudo) have been experimenting with the ADDAC112 in various ways, and the main controls for this module come down to these three buttons (depending on the user):
NEW REC: New recordingREC: Start/stop recordingPLAY: Play recorded sound
The core looper function of the ADDAC112 records externally input sound and loops it. Naturally, when combining it with an instrument that requires both hands, such as guitar or flute, operating these controls becomes difficult.
However, the ADDAC112 has extensive external control capabilities, with nearly every parameter controllable via CV. Using the ADDAC313 Triple Gate Pedal, you can perform these button controls with your feet, enabling much more flexible performance.
While the ADDAC313 pairs particularly well with loopers, the possibilities are of course endless beyond that. As mentioned in the single gate ADDAC312 article, with three gate outputs you can think of various ways to trigger envelopes on modules like the Weston Precision Audio: SE1 Shaped VC Envelope, or simply use them as convenient mute ON/OFF switches for three parts.
With its beautiful appearance, this device is a great companion for your modular system — we encourage you to give it a try.

About Long Patch Cables
