The AI008 is a 4-input, 4-output matrix mixer. This mixer is buffered and DC-coupled, making it suitable for mixing both audio and CV signals to multiple outputs or summed outputs. It enables complex patching such as self-feedback of effects or feeding an oscillator’s waveform back into its own PWM.
It comes in two panel options — aluminum and black — and DIY kits are also available.

AI008 Eurorack Matrix Mixer Features
The AI008 Matrix Mixer is an active 4-input, 3-output matrix mixer where each knob adjusts the input signal level before summing it to the output. Since routing from any input to any output is individually adjustable via each knob, it enables highly flexible mixing.
Common uses include creating drones by mixing an effect’s output back into its input (or just good old-fashioned feedback), mixing an oscillator into its own PWM or FM input, and self-modulating LFOs, among other techniques.

DIY Guide
The DIY kit includes the panel, PCB, all components, a power ribbon cable, and mounting screws.
AI Synthesis provides detailed DIY guides on their website. The guide below includes a build video and step-by-step instructions with photos, making it great for DIY beginners as well.
I (Takazudo) also built one myself. The video below shows the process. It’s not a particularly instructional video, but it may give you a feel for the kit. You’ll notice that the parts come neatly sorted into individual bags — a thoughtful touch.
