This is an introduction and overview of the PA0 Phase Animated Oscillator by Weston Precision Audio, available at Takazudo Modular.
The PA0 is a voltage-controlled oscillator module for Eurorack. It features a triangle core design with an added triangle phase animator circuit providing an adjustable phase lag from 0 to 180 degrees. The phase animator also provides additional harmonics beyond 0 and 180 degrees. The PA0 features through-zero linear phase modulation (PM) and linear frequency modulation (FM), as well as exponential FM.

Below is a video where I tried playing the PA0 Phase Animated Oscillator myself. In this video, I’m only playing the PA0, applying intense FM modulation and PA modulation using an ADDAC701.REV2 VCO.
Below is a video where I combined the PA0 with the H1 Analog Harmonizer. The H1 is a unique oscillator that takes another oscillator’s output and creates two oscillator outputs shifted by a specified pitch from that tone. In this video, I’m sending a pure sine wave from the PA0 to the H1 to generate chords.
